Getting Started
For the Engineering mathematics class another teacher had an idea of having some of us do a "upgrade" for his truck. He was the one to pay for materials and/or bring in any he had already owned, he gave us a $1,000 dollar limit even though we only used around $350. The first thing we jumped right into was taking measurement of his truck bed and jotting everything down, then creating our materials list for how much to order. You can find the google doc and sheet we made here. A quote that came into play a lot during this process and many times afterward as well was measure twice cut once.
Putting it all Together
Learning how to use a pocket hole driver for right angle floor joists supports for our drawers to slide in between. Doing this for ease of making simple and strong framing for the design.
Finishing up
Starting the drawers and installing drawer box into bed of truck and trimming carpet to fit over top for comfier surface to sleep, the aesthetics, and for sliding things over top.
Drawers And Getting it Done
Getting sides, floor boards, face plates with 8 mm rope handles, and back plates screwed together. Then sanded down smooth and to fit in truck.
